Fred Hui M.D.

Dr. Hui is a University of Toronto Medical School graduate, is a past-President of Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (1987-1989). He practices a unique combination of Eastern and Western medicine in his clinical practice. He is a contributing columnist for “Lifeline” of the Toronto Star and a regular guest on AM 530. Dr. Hui lectures extensively, for a variety of organizations, including Centennial College, the Learning Annex and the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada.

Speakers BIO

Dr. Fred Hui, a Toronto physician, graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of

Medicine in 1979, and later furthered his training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at

Beijing Hospital in China. For the past 20 years Dr Hui’s medical practice has offered a

unique blend of Eastern and Western Medicine, integrating alternative, complementary

and allopathic medicine into each patient’s treatment, as appropriate.

Dr. Fred Hui currently lectures at The Faculty of medicine, University of Toronto. He is

an examiner and past president of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and is also

currently an examiner for the Medical Council of Canada, the Canadian licensing body

for physicians. He is an member of the Advisory Board on the Georgian College acupuncture diploma program.

An outspoken critic of the failure to incorporate alternative approaches into the public

health response to the SARS crisis in Ontario in 2003, Dr Hui is well known as a

newspaper columnist, radio host. He is much sought after as a lecturer and keynote
